Active Directory Integration
For large enterprise customers wanting to maintain only one repository of employee data while keeping user information in-house, our professional services team can work with you to synchronize the VoiceMaxx CE user database with an existing Active Directory database. The integration keeps user directories updated, allowing users to access the latest company contact numbers. Additional Active Directory integrations, including authentication, are possible and handled on a case-by-case basis.
Cisco UC Integration for Lync Server
Exclusively for VoiceMaxx CE customers who wish to continue using their existing Lync Server environment for instant messaging and presence, Cisco UC integration for Lync (or CUCI Lync) enables customer to sync Lync’s IM/P capabilities with the voice capabilities of Jabber. The integration adds a pane at the bottom of the Lync desktop client which allows users to:
- Place, transfer and forward calls
- Access voice messages visually
- Start meetings to talk to, and share documents with, one or more people
Exchange Integration for Unified Messaging
Unified Messaging integration syncs VoiceMaxx CE voicemails and Exchange email boxes, improving overall ease-of use and message management. Messaging information is shared both ways and provides a truly unified messaging experience. If a voicemail is deleted from the email account, the voicemail message will also be deleted from the user’s voicemail. Users can play, delete, record, reply to, and forward voice messages all from within Outlook. Likewise, messages managed from within Jabber are updated accordingly within Outlook.
Outlook Calendar Integration
Outlook Calendar integration enables syncing with a user’s Jabber presence. If there are meetings scheduled in Outlook, the user’s presence status in the VoiceMaxx CE Jabber client will be updated to say “in a meeting.” Jabber status changes will update the user’s presence in Outlook to show if the user is away, available, etc.
