Veon Case Study

Veon improves collaboration using BlueJeans Rooms with Dolby Conference Phone.

Veon is an international communications and technology company, providing over 210 million customers with voice, fixed broadband, data and internet services across 10 markets.

Veon needed a video conferencing solution that could reliably work at the scale they required. Operating in Eastern Europe and Africa, they would often suffer from poor audio quality and bad user experience. Veon’s Amsterdam office alone hosts around 4,000 video conferences a week so they needed a solution that was compatible with Microsoft Outlook, easy to use and provided premium audio and video quality.

Having searched the market for a solution and not finding one that could meet their needs, Veon turned to West; a supplier they had a long-lasting relationship with. Through our leading partnerships, West were able to introduce Veon to a new solution being developed at that time; BlueJeans Rooms with Dolby Conference Phone. “We tested it and actually were the launching customer. It was quite a spectacular success.” – Veon, IT Director.

“The reason we chose the Dolby solution was the noise cancellation, which is really amazing. And the second thing is it only has three buttons, so everyone can use it.”

Veon’s timelines were strict as they had a rebuild of two offices, and needed to meet those project deadlines. Being a cloud-based solution, the app installation was instant, while the room implementation took only a month from order to completion.

BlueJeans Rooms with Dolby Conference Phone has been installed in every meeting room across their Amsterdam, Luxembourg and London offices. Veon’s employees, remote workers and partners can now collaborate with ease, with the total user group of up to 12,000 using the system in any one week.
