[In the Know] What NOT to Do as a Virtual Event Speaker

2020 has redefined what it means to be a “professional speaker.”

Around the world, people are adjusting their technology and techniques to suit the needs of the present - a dramatic pivot from in-person to the world of virtual events.

Speaking to virtual audiences requires a different set of skills. Presenters find themselves face-to-face with nothing but a webcam when it’s time to start talking.

This can be unnerving. However, with the right attitude and the right setup, it’s more than possible to engage and inspire a virtual audience.

To celebrate Professional Speakers Day on Aug. 7, my colleagues and I put together a special episode of In the Know - so you can see exactly what not to do as a virtual event speaker.
